Iceland was full of amazing and diverse landscapes. I decided to make small paintings focused on different types or aspects of some of those landscapes both based on actual locations or amalgamations of different locales. One unifying feature of all the landscapes was sheep in places they did not appear to belong. Magical creatures.
The artist talk from @justinoaksford and the opening reception for The Huldufólk Exhibition was a ton of fun, we want to extend a huge thanks to everyone who came and hung out! We hope you all had as wonderful of a time as we did.
It was great to hear about Justin’s practice, as well as his thoughts about creative work as a whole and his experiences in Iceland. He conveyed some wonderful, thought-provoking ideas. Thanks again, Justin!
As always your support is incredible, we can’t thank you enough!
I forgot to post these earlier. Last Saturday a sweet Seinfeld art show opened @g1988 called “An Art Show About Nothing.” These are the paintings I made for it, the lovable Kramer and slightly less lovable Newman.
