Hello,
I have spent quite a lot of time working towards a painting for the upcoming Crazy 4 Cult 2: This Time It’s Personal art show opening at Gallery1988 in LA on August 22. Tonight I finished it up.
The painting is inspired by the movie Evil Dead 2.
Here it is:
it is 18″ x 22″ acrylic on linen, titled: Effervescent Pestilence

This is the original drawing I did for the painting. This went through many revisions before I got to this point. Starting off all I knew was I wanted a bubbling hole in the forest with the monsters from the movie all lumped together. It slowly formed from that vague idea into this.
This is the drawing freshly transfered onto the surface.
The under painting is done, and I have started to block in the color.
The color and forms are getting more refined, and things are starting to take shape.
By this point most everything had been figured out and all that was left was polish.
